Tiles are everywhere, but the marble subway was perhaps the most expensive tile in the world when it was installed in 1910.
The marble tiles were designed by Charles T. Stone, a member of the Stone family.
Stone built the tiles for the Chicago Metropolitan Board of Trade, a public utility in Chicago.
Stone was also the architect of the new Metrorail trains, which were inaugurated in 1912.
The tiles are so expensive they’re being phased out.
The last tile in use is for the new Washington, D.C. subway.
It was installed by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority in 2000.
“I remember when we first came here to do this, we had no idea what this tile was going to be,” said Todie Tafolla, the assistant to the president for Metro Area Development for Metro.
“It was like a big mystery to us.”
It took almost two decades for the tiles to be replaced.
But a lot has changed in that time.
There are more people using public transportation, more people traveling to work, more Metro stations, more rail cars, and more people living near transit stations.
That’s made it easier for Metro to upgrade, but now the tile is about to get replaced.
In the first two decades of the 20th century, the cost of a tile was about $50,000.
Today, that’s more than $1 million, according to Metro.
Metro has said that the tile replacement will cost the agency about $8 million.
That money will go to buying a new tile.
Metro will also pay for about a dozen other projects including the installation of a new bus stop at the airport and the removal of an existing bus shelter.
That will cost about $300,000, Metro spokesman John Nadel said.
That means that a lot of money has been spent and it’s not all covered by Metro.
Metro estimates that about 10 percent of the project will be covered by the federal Transit Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act of 2002, which pays for projects that are eligible for the money, but Metro is not required to pay.
Tafolla said that some of the other projects Metro is involved with include repairing the rail line in Washington, the Purple Line, and the Green Line.
She said that Metro is also going to cover the cost for the MetroLink bus service, which is about $250 million.
